Assistant/Associate/Full Professor – Pathology Department

The Department of Pathology at the University of Illinois at Chicago, invites applications for a full-time faculty positions at the level of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor, Open Rank. Applicants must hold MD or MD/PhD degrees and be board certified in AP or AP/CP from the American Board of Pathology, as well as be eligible for a medical license in the State of Illinois. Fellowship training in surgical pathology is required and added experience in breast, gastrointestinal and/or molecular pathology is desirable, with at least 2 years of experience in surgical pathology sign-out in an academic department. Rank and remuneration will be determined by qualification and experience.

The successful candidate will display excellence in surgical pathology, as well as have a record of demonstrated productivity and scholarship in pathology. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills. The position includes surgical pathology sign-out responsibilities, and translational research. In addition to clinical responsibilities and research, faculty are expected to play an active role in teaching and training medical students, residents, and fellows.
