Major aspects of the curriculum transformation are expected to be: an integrated curriculum – with five major themes [Foundational Knowledge; Clinical Practice; Professional Development; Health, Illness and Society; Health Care Systems]; more active learning; more formative assessment and feedback on student performance; more rigorous assessment of learning and more comprehensive program evaluation. Our series of workshops will engage us in addressing these topics and issues, which apply to both medical student and graduate programs.
Each month's sessions are given both on a Tuesday afternoon (4:00-5:30 pm - with appetizers) and a Friday morning (7:30-9:00 am - with breakfast). Faculty need only attend one session each month.
