The UIC Pathology faculty members and the Innovation Award Committee are very pleased to announce the last winner of the Innovation Award for 2009.
This award goes to MARTIN MENDOZA in the section of Histology who was nominated by his supervisor Cynthia Reese, manager Jean Emich and faculty member Elizabeth Wiley. He will receive a financial award of $300.
Martin has demonstrated extraordinary commitment to his job by coming in early, staying late, helping co-workers, repairing equipment, and ensuring the completion of stat cases every day. He is extremely reliable and completes all tasks without complaint. He has shown leadership skills in his section during a time of extreme understaffing.
We congratulate Martin for his extraordinary work on behalf of the Pathology Department and look forward to his continued contributions. We also recognize the fine example he provide to others.
The UIC Pathology Innovation Award is funded, administrated, and awarded by UIC Pathology faculty involved in clinical work.
