In many departments of pathology, Cytopathology is incorporated into a Division of Anatomic Pathology.
At UIC, Cytopathology has divisional status. Closely coordinated with the Division of Surgical Pathology, the Cytopathology Division provides state-of-the-art diagnostic services and an innovative cytopathology curriculum for trainees. Members of the Division are engaged in research that impacts the clinical practice of cytopathology.
