Welcome to the UIC Department of Pathology

Our Department has benefited from unprecedented growth. In the last 6 years, more than 35 faculty members have joined us, and we continue to expand. Along with other academic departments of pathology, we share an uncompromising commitment to excellence in education, service, and research. Our Department is known for innovation, housing novel Divisions of Pathology Education and Transdisciplinary Pathology. Our Division of Pathology Research has a remarkable translational focus, and is home to federally funded investigator-initiated clinical trials - a true manifestation of a bench to bedside approach.

We are deeply engaged in serving our community, consistent with the mission of UIC to provide "access to excellence" for students and patients. We are also committed to forming our own academic community, dedicated to nurturing the development of our staff, students, and faculty. Many faculty members who have arrived here claim that this is "the Department I have always wanted to join".

We hope that you find the information in these pages useful. This site is updated frequently, and we invite you to revisit often!
